Christina Velky is a dedicated runner, fitness professional, and community builder taking on the 2026 New York City Marathon in support of Commonpoint. With a strong background in health and wellness, Christina is passionate about creating spaces where people feel welcomed, supported, and empowered to live active, connected lives.
A seasoned marathoner, Christina previously completed the NYC Marathon in 2019 and has crossed the finish line at the Walt Disney World Marathon three times (2020, 2022, and 2024). Her commitment to training, perseverance, and goal-setting mirrors the same energy she brings to her work in the community every day.
Christina is proud to run in support of Commonpoint, an organization that provides essential programs for individuals and families across New York—from early childhood education and after-school programs to senior services, workforce development, and health and wellness initiatives. Through its work, Commonpoint helps people of all ages build connections, gain opportunities, and thrive.
Now, Christina is setting her sights on raising $5,000 to support these life-changing programs. For her, this race is about more than miles—it’s about making a meaningful impact and strengthening the community she cares so deeply about.
